Week 8, gently.

Your baby is the size of

a raspberry

  • 1.6 cm long
  • 1 g

Your baby is starting to make tiny movements — far too small for you to feel.

“Already moving, and no one knows yet.”

What’s happening inside

Fingers and toes are forming (still webbed). Eyelids begin to develop. The embryo is already making small spontaneous movements — too subtle for anyone to feel.

How you might feel

Smell is heightened. Foods you loved may now repel you; strangers' colognes will announce themselves. You may feel a constant low-level tired that no amount of coffee fixes.
