What’s happening inside
The baby's hearing is now sharp enough to recognize voices and music. Blood vessels in the lungs are developing, though the lungs themselves are not ready for air yet.
How you might feel
A partner, friend, or older child may be able to hear the heartbeat by pressing an ear to your belly — or feel a distinct kick.
